Introducing Birgit Whitelaw and "The Art Connection"
Background on “The Art Connection”
Birgit Whitelaw started “The Art Connection” in 1997.
After seeing all of her artist friends painting beautiful pieces only to hide them away
and to forget about them, she had the idea of becoming an art broker to help find homes for
all this wonderful human expression. So, she gathered artwork from her friends and started
promoting the art from her home, as well as organizing art shows at different venues.
What does “The Art Connection” offer You?
- Art Rental
The Art Connection specializes in renting Art for Corporate OfficeBuildings;
for their lobbies, meeting rooms, and hallways.
- Art Sales
- Organization of Art Shows
- FREE Art Consulting
Free Art Consulting is offered for offices and/or homes to better understand
the colors and styles that would best fit with existing furnishings. The clients
of “The Art Connection” enjoy the experience of being part of the creative process
and owning Art that is one of a kind and specially selected to fit with their
home or office environment.
- Commissioned Art Work
There is also the option to have a piece commissioned, which takes the creative
involvement with the artist another step further.
Objectives of “The Art Connection”
The major objective for the Art Connection is to keep the price of
original art works as affordable as possible. Art sold through Galleries
can often be very expensive. Avoiding the overhead that comes with a Gallery
has helped “The Art Connection” keeping down costs, and making it possible for more people to own original art work,
rather than having to settle for a print or even a poster.
